Our Mission
Our mission is to coordinate the efforts of churches, government, civic organizations, and individuals in establishing the first emergency shelter in Anacortes.
Our target population will be single mothers with children, families with children and single women.
Our goal is more than simply providing food, shelter, and clothing. We will attempt to address the underlying causes of the problem by assisting each adult resident to develop a personalized action plan to become self-reliant and realize their full potential. This plan will include parenting classes, mentoring on financial responsibility, attending substance-abuse support groups (if needed), and gaining assistance from social service agencies in obtaining housing, education, healthcare, employment, and mental health services.
