Current Operations

Until we begin construction of the Anacortes Family Center, we are operating an emergency shelter and a transitional shelter. Both these small houses are on 27th Street in Anacortes.

Emergency Shelter

emergency-400x250

We provide emergency housing for a short period of time, typically up to 30 days. However, this can be expanded to 90 days on a case-by-case basis. The shelter’s guests can include single moms or families with children, as well as single women. We have no provision for single men.

At the shelter we have a strict set of rules, including housekeeping policies, restrictions on drinking, smoking indoors, as well as limitations on visitors. We do ask for a donation of $100 per month; however, this is negotiable, depending on the circumstances. We require that you perform the chores needed to keep the house clean.

Emergency shelter is typically available on a first-come first-serve basis. If you need shelter, please call 360.293.2993.

Transitional Shelter

The transitional house is used by graduates from our emergency shelter who need some longer term accommodations as they save money for the first-month, last-month, damage-deposit they’ll have make when they move to more permanent quarters. This house is rented on a month-to-month basis.
