Unfortunately AFC's current Community Resource Manager, Jordy Pratt, is leaving to pursue her graduate work. This leaves an amazing opportunity to join a fantastic team of professional and dedicated individuals, in a position that truly advances AFC's mission. Cover letters, resumes, and professional references should be sent to Beatriz@AnacortesFamily.org.
Community Resource Manager
with Anacortes Family Center (Anacortes, WA)
The Anacortes Family Center (AFC) is seeking a Full-Time, Exempt, Community Resource Manager to assist with vulnerable, homeless or unstably housed community members, connecting them with services that are internal to the organization and external within the community. AFC provides emergency support through motel vouchers, 60-90-day emergency shelter, 12-24-month transitional housing, affordable housing, case management and life skills.
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00AM-5:00PM, flexibility for after-hours calls (especially on weekends) is important.
The Anacortes Family Center's fundraiser, Dine & Shop Out to End Homelessness, will occur on Thursday, February 6th, 2020. On this one day, participating restaurants and buisnesses all over Anacortes agree to donate a percentage of the day's proceeds back to AFC. Board members, staff and volunteers will be at each location selling raffle tickets and sharing AFC's mission.
Do you want to purchase raffle tickets? Contact Heather Geer, Development Director, at 293-2993 ext. 114 or email Heather@AnacortesFamily.org.

AFC has 18 families total: 9 in our emergency shelter and 9 in our Family Transformation Center. We prefer that holiday donors pick a specific item (part of the meal, or one of the bullet points), but sponsorship of a specific family is possible as well.
THANK YOU for your incredible support of our families during this truly magical time of year!
AFC is excited to announce the addition of Jordy Pratt to the Anacortes Family Center team! Jordy will join our Program Team working as AFC's Community Resource Manager. As the Community Resource Manager, Jordy will serve those struggling with or vulnerable to homelessness, not living in an AFC facility - guiding them through the often complex and confusing social service systems. In addition, Jordy will become an invaluable resource to community partners, like the Anacortes Police Department, Parks and Recreation and Island Hospital. When they identify a person in need, they can simply call Jordy, and she will work with the client directly from that point forward. Jordy will also oversee AFC's Motel Voucher Program.
Jordy joins AFC after completing her internship with our organization for her degree in Human Services. Prior to AFC, Jordy worked with a nonprofit working with at-risk youth. Jordy will work Monday-Friday 8:30PM-5:00PM; if you need to reach Jordy, she can be reached...
Mark your calendars, because the date is approaching... get in the mood for better weather, cleanse your garage, desk, storage and filing cabinets - because AFC's Fall Shred-a-Thon is right around the corner! Join AFC on:
