The Landing: our newest project
In 2023, we completed The Landing apartment building, across from Island Hospital's emergency entrance. This project was years in the making and we could not be more grateful to everyone who made it happen, from our design and construction team to donors, including community members who voted "yes" on an affordable housing initiative in Anacortes. The building's 21 apartments are full, and include a few set aside for qualifying Island Hospital employees. Complete the application below to be placed on the waitlist.

A few years ago, AFC opened Launch Apartments, 20 units of affordable housing for families making 30 – 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). This beautiful building features studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units with rents of just a few to several hundred dollars per month, based on the resident’s income and apartment size. 24th Street Home
AFC added a single-family home to its affordable housing program in 2025. This is AFC's first single-family affordable rental home. It has 3 bedrooms, one and 3/4 bathrooms over 1482 square feet.
AFC Cottages
AFC is breaking ground on its newest affordable housing project at 1311 31st Street: the AFC Cottages. Their estimated completion time is December 2026 to January 2027. The AFC Cottages include four single-family homes, each with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and about 1500 square feet. The homes will share a common green space and will be close to schools and parks.
